The Lakeview Group is lead by Barry Haaser, a 30-year Silicon Valley veteran with expertise in the energy and technology industries specializing on energy management systems, demand response, smart grid technologies, energy and communication standards, renewable energy, energy efficiency, and the Internet of Things.
Haaser formed the Lakeview Group in 2010 to help bring energy and communication technologies and standards to market through industry alliances. As the president of the Lakeview Group, Haaser lends his experience in association creation and management, ecosystem development, testing and certification programs, technology standardization and energy industry marketing and education. Haaser has formed, launched and/or managed many successful alliances during his career including the Green Button Alliance; OpenADR Alliance; LonMark International; EIS Alliance; U-SNAP Alliance; SunSpec Alliance; Wi-SUN Alliance; Dash7 Alliance; and the Home Lighting Control Alliance.
In addition to his role leading the Lakeview Group, Haaser serves as executive director of LonMark International and Green Button Alliance; and provides executive leadership to the OpenADR Alliance and the Wi-SUN Alliance. Haaser also serves on the Department of Commerce’s Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Advisory Committee, and was formerly an officer, and member of the Board of Directors SGIP 2.0 Inc..
Prior to founding the Lakeview Group, Haaser spent 15 years with Echelon Corporation (ELON) where he held marketing and business development positions in the U.S. and Europe. Previously, he served as vice president of marketing at Alacritech, and director of marketing at Saratoga Systems. Haaser started his career as a market research analyst covering semiconductors and passive components.
Haaser holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from San Jose State University. Haaser is also an active Rotarian.
